Remember the early year political episode which caused a upstir? The havoc compelled a state of emergency and all vistors are advised to stay clear. And i was one of the upcoming traveller who needed to review the travel plan due to the security situation.

After a delayed of 10months, i arrived and returned safety from the friendly and sunny city.

It was a pleasurable trip, people watching, admiring the simplicity yet artistic interior designs of shops, walking shop by shop amazed with the bulk fashionable wears and assessories, savouring juicy mangos & melons under the hot burning sun, enjoying the BBQ squids (overdose), the tasty corns and mouthful of birdnests, grinning ear to ear at everything at a steal prices…

I especially enjoyed lazing in this nice cosy cafe, here’s speaks for itself:

Bangkok is a modern city, full of creativity, full of lives, full of fun…they take pains to create the atmosphere for Halloween…i feel it:

And lastly, i love my manicures and pedicures. The thais are simply good in arts and designs, they make wonders out of bare tools. I had a excellent hand-painted artwork at 200baht each for the bravo mani and pedi!

The lovely bows and pokka dots…

Showtime for the cutie strawberries now:

Many years ago, then as a supplementary card holder, i was an avid user. I would credit the heavy usage as a new enthusiastic user, partly peer pressure, somewhat commercial temptations and other unspoken reasons. Every month, i will never fail to skip any possibility to accrue the bills. Simply, i do not have any money sense and i would term it as insensible transactions. Come month end, i will be notified by the main holder on my outstanding payable. Occassionally, as an irresponsible user, i will play delay tactics resulting the latter to fund the payment first. Somehow, ultimately, so blessed, i managed to settle my insensible expenditures each time.

Eventually when i found my own ability to promote myself to a principle card holder. It was a jolly good news that the former main holder welcome. I realised, its a shitty affair - to view the past transactions, to be accountable for my past actions, to be on time for payment…

A page from a magazine put me in deep reflection and I’ve learnt the experience from my past mistakes.

“If you charge today’s expense on a credit card, you’re using tomorrow’s salary to pay for it.
Stone is a stool with a simple shape but with a very precious appearance. Made with an essential symmetrical linear shape which is reminiscent of an hourglass, it has an extraordinary irregular myriad of geometrical facets which give a diamond like effect.

Here’s comes the precious stone family:

Stone is offered in the colours of precious stones and SMOKE got me into my eyes:

The editorial version of SMOKE:

I am hunted....one of the 18 traced to be on the same flight as the three latest infected persons!

Indeed what a luck it was, i received a HQO - Home Quarantine Order, today!

I am one of the passengers sitting in the affected row from 52 - 58. Hey, the most amazing irony was, we have hand picked the seating arrangement on our own accord...was it purely to be a destiny?

There were signs of bad omen during the return flight right from the beginning:

My seat was occupied and the passenger was waiting for me to come & swop seat with her to row 56 as she wanted to be next to her friend who will be sitting beside me. I firmly declined as i also want to be seated next to my friend too.

An internal communication technical problem occurred just as the plane was preparing to depart. Passengers sitting in row 40+ were asked to leave their seats temporaily to allow the technicians carry out investigations. The moment, I was glad that i was seated in row 50+, saved from the hassle of moving my butt and tired legs to exit at the boarding gate area temporary. Little did i know that i am in danger zone and the inconvenience i am going through next is 10x more than passengers in row 40+.

The fixing took more than an hour to resolve and while i rest in the comfort of my seat in row 53, a commotion was heard. A mainlander was caught smoking in the lavatory, the long waiting game must have bored him tremedously and he needed a puff desperately. Didn't we all know that smoking is not allow in planes? His act caught everyone by surprise and there were some exchange of words of advice to him by fellow passengers asking him to abide to law and not implicate us (flight already delay, technical faulty still unfix, enough is enough)...

Finally, after a long wait, we are happy to receive the announcement that the doors are closing and cabin crew to prepare for departing. In the entire journey, i masked myself obediently, i did not do the same in the earlier flight. Six sense may have triggered me to practice caution somehow.

Everything appears fine until Friday when additional three cases were confirmed and coincidentally the infected passenger was on board on the same flight as me. And he was diagonally seated 2 rows away from me.

And today, i was hunt down at home with this:

I was first introduce to Kate Spade in 2003. It was the same year that Kate Spade celebrated its 10th Aniversary and created the series "Decade Noel" to mark the occasion!

Happily, i rewarded myself the Tracy Bucket Bag on boxing day of 26 December 2003 at a great bargain of 50%. Being a long occupant in the wardrobe, tracy was auctioned off in 2005.

The quest for more sets in as the designs offered were vibrant, quirky, sometimes understated and sometimes girly. And thanks to a girlfriend, her priviledge card has given me access to further concession and the mark down prices were really at a steal, it'll be silly to stick to rigid accounting principles.

Subsequently, i expanded my collection with the Pencil Case which i undoubtly term as my everlasting simple classic.

In 2004, the gaga spins off with the Maira Kalman Collection - A series of Amusing dog illustrations. Quoting the designer, "the results are humorous, engaging & casually chic". Needless to say, i accounted for the tote & a comestic pouch.

The craze continues in 2005, this round, i settled for the original. A formal piece in their signature trademark logo and one in a more cheery signature print.

Here's a summary of the mentioned posessions, extracted from my powerpoint:

The madness never stops as Kate Spade never fail to bring excitement in its design, in 2006, I was hooked on Oaxaca embroidered reyna. The bright rafia thread-work on the woven pandam market tote swayed my heart with the new creation of tradition handcraft.

In 2008, i set my records by bagging home 4 more new members namely: A tote, a wristlet, one stripe bow evening bag and a satin bow evening bag, all from the Spring/Summer Collection of 2008, flew in during my vacation in USA.

L-R (2nd row): Oaxaca embroidered reyna, Maira kalman yoko, Black houndtooth noel dot.
L-R(1st row): Topsy dot noel, Satin bow, Strip bow, Choco Tote, Wristlet.
